About this Event
Dr. David J. Lorenzo is an Associate Professor in the Joint and Combined Warfighting School in the Joint and Combined Staff College, National Defense University. This talk explores the different methods (or "approaches") by which US administrations have historically confronted conflicts, such as the First and Second Gulf Wars, and the conflicts with North Korea over nuclear weapons in the 1990s and 2000s. Its purpose is to examine and compare how approaches help construct an interactive space with the other party to the conflict, and subsequently how approaches can influence the outcomes of conflicts.
