The Kelly Rossum Modern Big Band returns after its acclaimed 2023 Ferguson Center debut. Founder and leader Kelly Rossum is an international trumpet artist, improviser and composer. He'll present two sets of original music for a full, modern big band featuring some of the top jazz musicians on the east coast, including Nii Akwei Adoteye, Jason Scott, Jason Arce, Jeff Smith, Roy Muth, Duane Smith, Rex Richardson, Victor Haskins, Tanner Antonetti, Toby Whittaker, Shannon Gunn, Dandrick Glenn, Weldon Hill, Eldon Sully, Randall Pharr and Scott Clark. Rossum's high-energy musical selections range from classic funk to progressive improvisation, and Cuban mambo to lush ballads ... with a few surprises!
Please note that seating will be on the Diamonstein Concert Hall stage.
